Aldora Robinson

Aldora Robinson, Director, Health Promotion and Advocacy Unit, TCI Ministry of Health and Human Services, enrolled in the Bahamas School of Nursing and was admitted to the Bahamas Nursing Council for Nurses and Midwives as a Registered Nurse in 1981. March 1985, she moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands and continued nursing at the Grand Turk Hospital. She transferred to the Myrtle Rigby Health Complex in 1995 and joined the National AIDS Program in 2002 as Deputy AIDS Coordinator, Providenciales. She holds a master’s degree in Sexually Transmitted Infections and an MBA specializing in Human Resource management. As Director of the Health Promotion and Advocacy Unit since 2016, Aldora is dedicated to achieving the Ministry’s vision of a healthier TCI. She is vibrant, infectious, a team player and an unforgettable role model.

Glenda Etienne- Cepal

Glenda Etienne-Cepal is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration on Health Promotion. Glenda has been a Public Health Officer for the past 10 years, functioning in the Vector Control Unit mobilizing communities to action in the fight against vector borne diseases. In this area, she gets involved in influencing public health policies, develop programs, analyze data to influence decision-making and educate communities on eradicating vectors from homes and communities. One of the most rewarding benefits of being a public health officer is, knowing that you are making a lasting impression to improve society. Glenda gets directly involved in local communities where she can see an immediate impact from her work.
